After a glorious winter we are now moving into a very busy time of the year. As I write this we have just finished the first “The Who” concert. This was a fabulous evening and we received great recognition from the nine to ten thousand people in attendance, as well as raising in excess of $7,000 for the hospital while having fun. I offer my sincere thanks to the 50 Nobles and Ladies who braved the worst storm of the winter to be in attendance. After our duties were over we were able to enjoy a great concert. They are a fabulous band and I encourage you to volunteer for the next The Who concert and also the Bryan Adams concert. Please get your name into the Recorder’s office, as we are limited to 50 volunteers. Remember our motto “Fun with a Purpose”.

As most of you are aware membership is our greatest challenge but our on-going attendance at public events such as the St. Patrick’s Day parade, the concerts, the Spartan races and the many other local events are certainly helping to raise our local profile and for this I gratefully acknowledge the tremendous efforts of the Clubs and Units belonging to Rameses. In particular the great turn out of Shriners and Shrine Units from throughout the GTA area participating in the St. Patrick’s Day parade was very impressive. A tip of the Fez to all! Thank you.

We have several major upcoming events that we look forward to joining the fellowship and fun. The Potentate’s Ball is at a new location, The Crowne Plaza and promises to be a fun evening for all.

The Spring Ceremonial is returning to Niagara Falls and I know our Director General, Noble Dave Gillies, and his team of Nobles, Ladies, and members of Bokhara Court have worked very hard to ensure a great time will be had by all. They have a fabulous program put together for both the Nobles and Ladies which promises, along with Niagara’s attractions, to be a great weekend of something for everyone.
