I am deeply honoured and grateful to have been elected as your Potentate. It is with great humility that I accept this Responsibility and Privilege to lead such a distinguished group of Shriners.
I would like thank Rt. Hon., Reverend, Illustrious Sir Bevan Carrique, P.P., my mentor, for Installing me in this high Position. As well as Noble Thomas Carrique, Ambassador at Large for presenting me with my Fez, and Illustrious Sir Donald A. Campbell, P.P., for presenting me with my gavel.
I want to express my heartfelt appreciation to each and every one of you for placing your trust in me. The confidence you have shown in my ability to serve in this esteemed role as the Potentate of Rameses Shriners is both humbling and inspiring.
I am excited about the opportunities that lie ahead and to bring back the Fun and Fellowship to Rameses. Please keep in mind Nobles, we are all Masons first and Nobles second and maintain that Harmony in our Temple.
Nobles, it’s easy to criticize, if you have any suggestions please step up to plate and I will make sure I will have a job for you on one of my committees.

I am committed to work tirelessly to uphold the values and traditions that make our fraternity the world’s largest Philanthropy. Our number one goal is to help our kids in our Shriners Hospitals for Children and change their lives. Together we can continue our tradition and have Fun and fellowship.
As I mentioned in my acceptance speech, as your President/CEO of your corporation, I have a responsibility to my stake holders, you the members of Rameses Shriners. This is a responsibility I do not take lightly. My goal, will be to demonstrate being physically responsible with Rameses Funds. Reduce Travel Expense and mileage by the Divan. If you want to have the Potentate at your functions, please send in your Invitations to the Rameses Recorder.
PAPYRUS
Effective Immediately we will revert back to Publishing the Papyrus 5 times a Year.
- February edition, submissions are due by Jan. 15, 2024
- April edition, submissions are due by Mar. 11, 2024
- June edition, submissions are due by April 29, 2024
- September edition, submission are due by July 29, 2024
- November edition, submissions are due by Sept. 23,2024
When the Draft copy is approved by the Divan, an electronic Version will be placed on our Rameses Website: ramesesshriners.ca
It will then be sent to our printers and within 4 weeks it should be in the hands of all the Nobles and Special Ladies.

As another Fund Raiser for your Club, please sell our Potentate’s Coffee and Tea with your Cakes, Cookies, and Onions. Please buy some for yourself and give it to your friends and family as a Gift. The Coffee is Custom blended by me for your enjoyment and pleasure.
Potentate’s Ball will be on Saturday, April 27, 2024. Noble John Neil will have more information.
Potentate’s trip, “Danube Dreams” with Avalon Waterways featuring two nights in Prague, 10 days aboard the Avalon View to Budapest, is going very well, we have 9 State Rooms already booked.
I look forward working with you, the Nobles and Past Potentates, with our collective strength and support we can achieve our goals. Your support means the world to me, and I am eager to serve with dedication and integrity with Lady Elizabeth at my side. Looking forward in our Travels to personally meet with you and share our values.
I will be having Zoom meetings with my Appointed Divan, Ambassador’s and Past Potentate’s of Rameses Shriners.
I am truly blessed to be part of Rameses Shriners; Lady Elizabeth and I thank you for this Honour you bestowed upon us.
